It is used for the early detection of breast cancer and to clarify findings from palpation or other clinical abnormalities in the breast. At Centro Seno Ticino, we perform all image-guided breast biopsies: Ultrasound-guided punch and vacuum-assisted biopsies, Tomosynthesis-guided vacuum biopsy and MRI-guided vacuum biopsy. The tissue sample is analyzed in a laboratory to assess its biological characteristics.
